Charcoal System Ash Can Shaker

ASH SEPARATOR:
Shovel out charcoal from your smoker to the ash can with the charcoal Basket installed, then shake and twist the charcoal basket by the handle using a hearth glove to protect your hands. Shake and twist the charcoal basket and your ash will fall through to the can below.
***Note:This can be done with hot coals as well, but be very careful to do this in a location where fire can not spread.
CHARCOAL CHIMNEY:
Use the charcoal basket as a charcoal chimney to start your charcoal before placing it into your smoker/grill. Simply place the charcoal basket onto a surface that will not burn or spread flame, add unlit charcoal to the charcoal basket, place some newspaper or other form of fire starter under the legs and light. It holds plenty of charcoal and lights it fast.
